Best Answer I wouldn't use a converter with any audio device. Converters often don't supply good, clean power. This could cause a hum, buzz, or just noise on your sound. Look into a transformer. They supply power that's as good as the power that comes in. The link below has an assortment of converters and transformers. Compare how they operate. Make sure any converter puts out clean AC.

Question Computer Speakers, Altec VS 4121 to Logitech z506 , SonicGear Armageddon a7 or ...?
I have altec lansing VS 4121 on my computer now, so far, i am satisfied with my speakers, but somehow the tuner broke and after it was going to the service centre, it got worse, so i'm thinking to buy a new set, at first i wanna sell my old one, and get another brand new set of altec 4121, but it's discontinued now, so i have a few candidates in mind, first they would be Logitech z506 vs Armageddon A7, they came in affordable price, sonci gear is already famous in the speaker products, but logitech, from what i read, is still new in this speakers manufacture, the keyboards, mouses or another accessories are good, but they said the speakers aren't really good, so i'm confused, then the second candidates would be Altec Lansing Expressionist Ultra MX6021 vs Logitech z5500 vs Logitech z906, but they are very expensive, so i need some advices or maybe another candidates for computer speakers, i use them to play movies a lot, like transformers, fast five, and actions movies, so far, altec 4121 is very good in his performances, songs, ballad, acoustic, rock, r n b, and games like point blank, warcraft...so please help me, i'm really confused...i need good sound quality when it comes to songs, because i'm making my report while playing songs, and movies, i watch alot...please help me...
Best Answer Intelliview is a fairly reputable organization. Here is their top ten computer speakers. http://www.intellireview.com/category/d77/?aid=20&top=11&track=Computer_Speakers&kw=computer%2520spe I best relate to the Bose Companion 5, Audioengine and Logitec speakers on the lower half of the first page. Personally I have yet to hear one pair of Logitec speakers I would purchase, different strokes for different folks. Someone could say the same about Bose Companion 5, but I like my set. Which leads to my point. It really depends on your ear and what you listen to on a regular basis. I cannot be close to satisfied for a set of speakers that are not in orbit with Audioengine and Bose Companion 5 price point. You will have to see what best suits you. I have heard good reports on Altec Lansing's Expressionist Ultra series speakers, I have also listened to Altec Lansing speakers in Best Buy, they sounded like AM radio. Anymore its tough to make a decision by brand. The more you read, the better informed the decision. It is best if you personally listen to a set before you lay down good money. I made the mistake of purchasing and not listening to the speakers first. I had this happen once, and only once. I read reviews and brought the hype. I ordered the ipod speaker, unpacked the box which felt solid, pulled out the foam and lifted the bantamweight docking station into the open room. Plugged it in turned it on..and it was absolute nonsense. I wiggled the plug, turned the treble up and down, looked at the reviews, unplugged it, plugged it in, even shook it, and it sounded the same. Crappy. If you don't get anything else from my comments, hear for yourself. Best.
