yeah thats what they were my neighbor gave them to me and he got them there at lafayette radio
Mine are Criterion 150, not Lafayette. But WOO are they nice!
at 9:12 i c you have a pair of lafayettes? i had those. they were great speakers until i blew a tweeter
You know the first song you recorded off the radio from Realistic boombox I have that song on CD it’s called “Billy Joel Pressure”
Are those Floorstanding speakers at 9:23 by the tv made by Acoustic research?
I always want some European stuff, but not as easy to get as I live in the US. I do have a B&O Beocord 8000 cassette deck.
I noticed that most of yor collection is Japanese or American. Do you plan on adding any British HiFi such as Wharfedale speakers? I currently have a pair of Wharfedale Linton 3XP speakers and love their vintage sound.
Ricky!!! What in the world are you going to do with all your vintage electronics when you move out?!?! That is one heck of a collection!!!
DUDE! LIVE THE GARIFELD!
The clear 8-track I recorded songs on it from a tape reel. There used to be more tape, but I ended up custom winding a reel after the origianal tape spilled out.
It was probably slight speed differences from different machines to playback.
I want one of those red 8-track head cleaners NOW!
Was Mike Huckabee holding a bass guitar at 3:34???
My guess is that he downloaded the music.
Sounds like timebase/pitch correction is needed for the Electric Avenue song. Maybe recording off the radio isn’t such a good idea after all. Because if you download the music, usually it sounds like it’s intended pitch.
was that a cleaning tape at 5.03? pretty cool label, eh?
and that black 8 track player on top, at 5.18; it has the same exact writing style, the way it says “Electrophonic”, as the Canadian manufacturer “Electrohome”.
Also, what’s on the clear 8 track? It looks like it could have been used at a radio station.
haha and we finally get to see that green radio!! WHOOO!!
Awsome collection. Very cool indeed !
the r2r @ .41secs reminds me those 1960′s portable swing-down stereo record player like my ’67 magnavox player
Amazing collection you have there!
You played “Electric Avenue” when you showed us the General Electric boombox.
Awesine slide show and as always, you make great videos.
Absolutely fantastic collection.
Ahhh…Memories! Hey, this is some pretty neat stuff! ~Tammi~
