Vintage 1960s-era AudioTronics 300A portable record player. This machine has a vacuum tube amplifier using a single 6T9 tube. While it works, as seen in the video, it does so only with a higher current fuse installed. The filter condenser gets warm after a few minutes of use, so I believe it has a leaky section. To use this record player, the faulty section(s) of the condenser will have to be identified and good unit(s) installed in its/their place. Operation with an incorrect fuse is very unsafe--it has been operated as such only under very controlled conditions.

So, work out very good judgment, and don’t dump money into something that is not really worth it.
Audiotronics Amplifier question of the day
Question Help from all you car audio geniuses(circuit breaker)?
Ok so my setup in my vehicle is eclipse deck, kicker components, 300 watt mono amp, 350 watt 4 channel amp, jl w3 subwoofer. The 4 channel amp stays on when i turn the car off and it kills my battery after time. However, the other amp turns off. Ive checked the remote wires and everything that could be causing it, so it is most likely an internal problem with the amplifier, which i dont want to pay to fix, so i was thinking of purchasing a circuit breaker and just flipping it when i leave my vehicle. I have a 4 gauge split into 8 gauge to both amplifiers. I looked at circuit breakers online and to my understanding most of them are based on watts? Im really not sure how powerful of a circuit breaker i should purchase for my setup. A guy from work told me i could go to home depot or lowes and get one from there but i dont know. The guy from audiotronics said a circuit breaker would die after so many uses. But i feel like i knew more than that guy anyhow.... Any knowledge on this would be appreciated. Thanks
Best Answer I would try disconnecting the remote turn-on from the amp just to rule out the possibility of a problem with the remote turn-on lead. Assuming you've already done that or are completely confident the remote turn-on isn't the issue then a circuit-breaker would "fix" (bandaid) the problem. I would think you'd be able to find an amperage-based circuit breaker, but if not, just use this formula: fuse amperage X 14 (voltage when car is on)=watts e.g: 60amps X 14v=840watts I don't really see why a circuit breaker would "die"...maybe if it was constantly being tripped you could have a problem, but if you're simply switching it on and off I don't see why that would be a problem since it is essentially a switch.
