I like the Vandersteens a lot, though they seem lacking on the low end. I have a powered JBL sub so it's not a major issue. I'm powering with a Denon 3802 receiver and listen to classic rock. Before you categorize that as low fi I really want the best I can get out of quality production bands like Steely Dan, Deep Purple, Boston, Rush, Pink Floyd, etc. Bottom line, should I be happy with what I have?

The only exceptions are lightweight ceramic drivers and a lower cost/broader use of ribbon tweeters. Overall, the Vandersteens are still quite good, but if you can find anything in your price range with ribbon tweeters, you may want to audition them. Ribbons extend another octave or so beyond more conventional domes, and can often impart more detail as a result.

Question Do plasma TV's Burn Out Easily like Projection?
I been Wondering i been searching for a Good TV I know not to go for Projection TVs or anything like that cause they burn out easily so im stuck in between the Plasma and The LCD witch should i go for i got a small room Like a Guest Bedroom i want a Big TV But Some Crazy Video Quality Im gonna Be using HDMI Connections cause i got a Denon 5.1 Receiver With some small Polk Audio Speakers and i got some KLH Vintage Towers can anyone help
Best Answer I bought a plasma tv not too long ago and ended up returning it. I play a lot of games on the Xbox 360 and on those games are certain healthbars, etc... after playing so long those actually become BURNED into the screen, so if you switch the channel you can see it ghost onto the screen. Plasma is garbage because they all do that. Even ones today. You will hear talk about "they fixed that problem with them." but don't buy into any of that. They all do it. Get an LCD! Also, another downfall to the plasma was (I had a 50" one), it would get SO HOT. It would heat up the whole room after an hour of running. Hope this helps.
