My new JBL PT800 / PS1400 run by a McIntosh MC2300 and tube Preamp ( Still need to organize the Cables )
Vintage audio speakers are good. Especially if your seeking for large performance audio speakers, entire variety speaker systems, or Alnico audio speakers. Be sure you affirm which the loudspeakers in working condition, since they are generally quite challenging to fix. In case your shopping for classic I would not worry about cabinet blemishes because they shouldn't effects audio. A lot of declare that record players deliver the best representation of audio. Good record players and records will actually give back more than you spend on them in case you enjoy excellent audio. It's best to snatch these up should you locate them in superior problem. In case you can get your fingers on them, reel to reel people and tape are incredible. Brand names to search for are Teac, Pioneer and Sony. They might be cumbersome, huge, and tough to move, nonetheless they will make up for it once you pay attention for the superior top quality tape they utilize. Also, bear in mind to check out on what sort of damage the classic unit has just before casting your bid. Keep in mind which the unit in query might be 30 a long time older, so overlook with regards to the manufacturer acquiring that which you should resolve it up! It is possible to acquire some things like lights and knobs from on the net dealers, however you can expect to shell out a quite penny from time to time about $10 to get a single knob! Also keep in mind that issues like a beat up circumstance are difficult to repair you may, nonetheless, switch hardwood conditions rather simply, as if you care to invest the cash you could have one custom made constructed. And often keep in mind to examine price ranges. Don’t get used gain of by paying out over the item is well worth! Vintage equipment will not be uncommon plenty of to interrupt the financial institution on, until you simply arrive across some thing tremendous rare. So, training great judgment, and don’t dump cash into something which is not price it.
JBL Preamp question of the day
Question Can I use the JBL On Air Control 2.4G wireless speaker system without pre-amp RCA outputs?
I recently purchased the JBL On Air Control 2.4G wireless speaker system without realizing my receiver (Sony) did not have preamp RCA outputs. Is there anyway I can buy a seperate preamp system to connect to my receiver that will then allow this to work? Thanks in advance for any help.
Best Answer Unfortunately there is not.....without preamp outputs you have NO way to get the signal from your Sony receiver to the next receiver WITH preamp outputs and if you did you would have volume control problems and ground loop problems galore! If i were you and you really wanted to use these speakers you purchased I would upgrade my AVR with one that has the preamp outputs. Hope this helps you.

Question JBL GTO1201.1 Kicker L7?
12" kicker L7 wired at 4 ohms 750w rms gonna get a JBL GTO 1201.1 specs for amp look down. Will my sub be able this amp also gonna be easy on the gain. Also i have a cheap 5g schoche wire kit from walmart package says 700w rms and 1400max will this wore be ok for this amp is ok if the wire is a little smaller than what it needs to be will it hurt the amp or just what it puts out for power? Also i have a 1995 ram 1500 with a 120amp alt will i need to do the big 3 for this amp? JBL GTO1201.1 12dB per octave electronic crossover ~ RCA low-level inputs ~ Full-range preamp outputs ~ Variable bass boost circuit for optimized system response ~ 787 watts RMS x 1 @ 4 ohms ~ 1114 watts RMS x 1 @ 2 ohms 14.4V supply ~ Dynamic Power 1339 watts at 2 ohms ~ Damping Factor: 6.348 at 4 ohms ~ Frequency Response: 10Hz - 302Hz ~ Maximum Input Signal: 6.1V ~ Variable electronic crossover and bass-boost also my ground wire is smaller than my power should i fix that?
Best Answer JBL amps from what I've heard are nice. That amp will put out enough power to that sub. I'm assuming you have the dual 2ohm version? As far as the 5 ga. wire I'd go bigger. At least 4 awg. Look at the link below jbl has a chart for the recommended wire and 4 awg is assuming you are only running 10 feet lengths. Personally you could go bigger if you'd like. That amp pulls 115 amps so you need an amp wire kit that corresponds to that. The second link i posted below is a kicker 1/0 kit for under 80 bucks shipped to your door. Last I heard though onlinecarstereo doesn't have them in stock. You won't find them cheaper than that though from what I've been able to find. The amp has 3 40amp fuses so 120 amps is the most the amp will pull. I'd say you need to at least do the big 3 don't bother with a capacitor. The money spent likely wouldn't help your electrical system like changing out your big 3 would and you should be able to do the big 3 with less money. Have any other questions feel free to ask me.
