   well the vintage equipment was usually over built – solid connections – solid chassis etc – the only issue you wlil get into is the age of the unit , solder joints fail, capacitors start to loose their integrity.
   new wlil give you higher wattage per dollar less ahssles and depending on what you are using to play back from the exact or better sound quality than the older.
