Don't forget that you will discover a few key items to glimpse for as far as audio equipment, and these are selection, electricity, and distortion. Classic sound gear is famed for its dynamic assortment, quality power, and lack of distortion. In fact, most people imagine that the worst distortion happens in digital sort on the CD. This is because vinyl and mediums like it hide the flaws within a round about way covering all of them with richness and fullness of tone as an alternative of uncooked digital edgy chaos.

Sansui Record Player
Classic speaker systems are good. Particularly if your wanting for higher performance loudspeakers, complete range audio speakers, or Alnico speakers. Be sure to confirm that the audio speakers in functioning ailment, simply because they tend to be pretty challenging to restore. If your buying classic I would not get worried about cabinet blemishes as they should not effect audio. Many claim that turntables provide the most beneficial representation of audio. Very good turntables and documents will really give back a lot more than you expend on them should you recognize excellent sound. You must snatch these up should you come across them in superior affliction. Should you can get your arms on them, reel to reel players and tape are astounding. Brand names to look for are Teac, Pioneer and Sony. They may be cumbersome, substantial, and hard to move, nonetheless they will make up for it if you hear for the high good quality tape they employ. Also, try to remember to test on what sort of harm the classic unit has prior to casting your bid. Try to remember which the unit in concern might be 30 years outdated, so forget in regards to the manufacturer having that which you need to repair it up! You may obtain some points like lights and knobs from online dealers, however , you can anticipate to shell out a pretty penny at times above $10 for your single knob! Also don't forget that things like a beat up scenario are tough to correct it is possible to, even so, switch hardwood conditions very quickly, as if you care to invest the cash you may have one particular customized built. And normally remember to verify charges. Don’t get taken edge of by having to pay greater than the merchandise is really worth! Vintage equipment is not unusual ample to break the bank on, except if you just arrive across a thing tremendous unusual. So, exercising superior judgment, and don’t dump cash into something that is not well worth it.
Sansui Turntable question of the day
Question how to add dampening fluid to a sansui SR 4050c turntable?
arm goes up and down to fast and not sur how to add fluid. have had the turntable for 35 years and is just now starting do do it.
Best Answer I think Kevin is answering the wrong question. It's unlikely that the cueing control is rebuildable, so you probably need to replace the cueing piston. Parts are not going to be easy (possible?) to find, however, since this is an old unit, Sansui is no longer in the hi-fi game, and they were never a big player in the turntable market. You may be better off trying to find another 4050c, if you're really keen on that model.

Question How much would a sansui model p-d15 turntable sell for?
its in really good condition
Best Answer Probably somewhere between .00 - .00. It's a basic plastic, belt-drive model with no pitch control and a P-mount cartridge (low-end with conical stylus if it's the original). You can buy a similar table new for about 0.00 today. The newer tables have built-in phono preamps for use with receivers having no input marked "phono" and you could probably even get a USB output for about that price. Used tables like that are just more common and in less demand than higher-end models. Hard to find a buyer unless the price is a serious bargain. The buyer would probably want to buy a new stylus just for piece of mind, even if you say it has low hours on it. A worn stylus will permanently damage records and most buyers would want to play it safe. The drive belt might need replacing if it's more than a few years old for the best speed stability... If you could assure a buyer the stylus and drive belt are good, the speed is correct and the table functions as new, you may be able to get somewhere around .00 for it. Most tables like this go for more like .00-.00 though. You can download and print a strobe disc to test for correct speed. Download the 60hz discs if you're in the USA. http://www.vinylengine.com/strobe-discs.shtml
